Smooth Transitions® provides individuals and families the emotional and physical assistance needed in making a change in living arrangements. Moving can be overwhelming - deciding what to take, finding a mover, packing, overseeing move day, unpacking, and getting rid of leftovers. Smooth Transitions® provides the peace of mind that someone is coordinating your family member's move with the personal attention you would give.

Smooth Transitions® also provides services for the dispersal of household belongings after the death of a loved one. Daily responsibilities or distances can make these tasks seem even more overwhelming. Working under the direction of family members, attorneys or trust officers, we organize and distribute the estate according to your and your family's wishes.

Fees are based on hourly rates plus expenses. A deposit is required at time of contract. Sometimes items leftover in the home that are sold cover the costs of Smooth Transitions® services. Jan has both personal and professional experience with moves. She is an expert in project management and general organization. Putting her passion for seniors and her management skills to use as a senior move manager is the best of both worlds. Jan received her training with Smooth Transitions®, the largest senior move management company in the country.

Helping her parents and other seniors drew her to this business. She is a former TWA flight attendant, active volunteer, mother of three sons, and has five grandchildren.
